REVLON Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor   Embrace There haven't been a lot of different lip colours I picked up this month, but on a majority occasions it was this one. It's one of my most worn lip products and though it's got matte in the name that's not quite true, as freshly applied it's a super comfortable fully opaque formula with a creamy shine. It's doesn't really set matte (Revlon later made another version of these which are properly matte), but in time it wears off to a less creamy version. Embrace is a nude peachy shade with some pink and it's not my ideal shade, but it's the most easy to wear from the nude shades they have at least on my skin tone.   THEBALM Instain Blush Houndstooth I'm still very much into L.O.V. blushes , but I went though my stash so I don't neglect my other blushes and I picked up this one. TheBalm were my favourites before I found L.O.V. and I still consider them some of the best I've found. I got Houndstooth bec...

Empties #35

EUCERIN Hyaluron Filler Vitamin C Booster I already went through one bottle of this and it was amazing. Idiotic as I always am, I did not instantly open a new one despite having two, instead I saved it and tried other disappointing vitamin C products. When I started focusing on the Ordinary, my skin worsened, so in my desperate attempt to go back to normal, I opened this and hoped it'll get me back on track. Sadly I failed, obviously because I kept on using The Ordinary product instead of going back to my old routine, so I wasted an entire bottle of this (I'm glad to report things have improved since I significantly cut back on the Ordinary). It still remains the only vitamin C product that I've noticed a difference at and when I was using it for the first time, my skin was in the best condition ever.  Repurchase: Yes. HADA LABO Super Hyaluronic Acid Face Moisturizing Lotion This was one of the nicest feeling skin care product I've tried. It has such a comfortable for...

Revolution PRO Supreme Eyeshadow Palette Captivate

I have this also in a version called Allure which I like only in part when it comes to shades, but it's one of the best palettes in my collection when it comes to quality. I didn't get to pick Allure myself, so this time I got a more neutral version, well actually the only neutral version as there are only four of these and the other two not my thing. Again this palette is definitely one of the best drugstore ones I've tried.  Texture: All eyeshadows are very soft, some in a buttery-creamy way and the rest are very silky smooth. This one more tightly packed compared to the ones in Allure at which some shades feel almost crumbly at times, but so far I haven't had any difficulties with that palette. Matte shades are easy to pick up with a brush and blend with such ease, just like in Allure. The first three more creamy shades are better applied with fingers, but some brushes work too. All of the shades have a good pigmentation in this palette, with the weakest performing...

L'Oreal Paradise Extatic Waterproof

Image
The original or regular formula of this one already impressed me when it first launched, but despite creating big voluminous lashes, it has two faults: it can't keep my lashes curled and it dries out super fast. This time I opted for a waterproof formula, which I had to buy online because Slovenians apparently don't deserve L'Oreal's waterproof formulas. It's not quite as impressive in terms of volume compared to the original because it's drier, but I forgive it because it holds my lashes curled all day.   This obviously has the same brush as the original. It's an averagely size classic brush with medium density bristles. It's not a mascara I'd describe as being capable of catching every lash compared to I <3 Extreme Waterproof or Oriflame Tremendous and that's why I need to take more time with this one if I want a nicely defined and fanned out effect, as if I try to do it fast I get a messy result. It has one advantage over I <3 Extreme...

Maybelline SuperStay Ink Crayon 25 Stay Exceptional

Image
These have been out for a while and I've been eyeing them ever since because they are matte and I'm a sucker for that. I also have their liquid versions which are some of the most long-lasting lip products I've tried.  Texture: Formula is somewhat similar to Colourpop's Lippie Stix in Matte X , but it's not quite as amazingly richly pigmented. It glides on the lips with similar ease, like there's plenty of silicones in it. I can't say that it stands out in terms of the formula, since by now there are so many great ones. It can be very precise when sharpened, so here you have a lipliner and lipstick in one. It's a much more comfortable formula than their liquid lipsticks and though the finish isn't the same type of matte, this has a nice one too.  Shade: 25 Stay Exceptional is a muted rosy shade. For some reason when I take a picture with it, the camera picks it up as a deep berry, but it's much more natural looking than that. I tried to fix it...

Rimmel Scandaleyes Volume on Demand Mascara

Image
Scandaleyes Volume on Demand Wand: This has a similar brush to O riflame The One Eyes Wide Open & Awake mascara . At that one the hourglass shape is even more pronounced, with a similar design that the top par is smaller than the bottom. At neither have I actually noticed that such design brings anything new to the table. At Rimmel's the product gathers at the top of the brush, so it needs to be wiped before every application. The brush is capable of enough definition and fanning out and it doesn't clump the lashes, though at third coat the it's already harder to comb the lashes neatly, but that's due to the formula.    Formula: Formula is quite wet, but not heavy, still the wetness drops the lashes pretty fast at this one, though not all the way like I recently experienced with an Essence Panda mascras. The curl didn't even last until I started taking pictures, so most of the effect and length is lost. The formula is a nice average one for a regular formula....
