August Favourites & Wishlist

MAYBELLINE SuperStay Ink Crayon    15 Lead the Way I first bought this in the shade 25 Stay Exceptional , which I like, but I always felt it's too dark, as I currently prefer very natural looking shades, so I finally ordered this online (we don't have this shade in our drugstores). It's a better fit. It's similar to Essence's lipliner in 08 Big Proposal , meaning is type of my-lips-but-better shade for my pale skin tone, it's just a bit more peachy, but the same depth. Formula is smooth and matte, but what I like about these is that it's precise, yet big enough so it's like a lipliner and lipstick in one and I can use it to shape the lips.  ESSENCE Camouflage+ Healthy Glow Concealer  10 light ivory This is one of my less sung about heroes. I keep saying Look by Bipa is my favourite high coverage concealer, but I use this one a lot more and though it doesn't have as much coverage as Look, I like it more, so I recently repurchased it as soon as mine r...

Essence The Nude Edition Eyeshadow Palette

Image
Essence's eyeshadows can be a hit or miss, but mostly a miss for me, even their popular Chrome eyeshadows , but when I swatched this palette in the shop I was immediately impressed. Their latest two palettes The Nude Edition and Witch Side are really good quality and way better than the slightly more expensive sister brand Catrice. Texture: The eyeshadows are a lot smoother than Essence's usually quality and they are all nicely pigmented when swatched with a finger. I find it takes a bit more layering when using a fluffy brush, but I tend to apply most eyeshadows with a finger (except in a crease) and just blend out the edges with a brush. Their matte eyeshadows are surprisingly buttery feeling and smooth, but overall every single eyeshadow in this is good, the least good ones are the copper which is not as pigmented as the rest and the first taupe is very pale for such a shade.  Shades: 5 shades are matte: 1st - the classic vanilla, 4th - a light taupe that might not show on...

Million Colors Little Vice Matte Lipstick Review

Image
Hello everyone, Today I shall be reviewing lipsticks from the brand Million Colors which I received as PR from the website Blushpop. I had done a video on it, you can check the haul video HERE .  Million Colors is a brand which comes under the company 'Dyana International' of which I had reviewed a brand called C2P. So the products do sell online but I don't know much about the brand. So anyway I have had these lipsticks for a year now and will let you know my thoughts in this review. Read on to know more... Ingredients : not mentioned but it says that it is a vegan brand..  Price : 275 for app. 4gm (not mentioned anywhere though) What does the brand say :  Million Colors Lipstick delivers  intense moisture while providing a matte finish. Million Colors Little Vice Matte  Lipstick is combined with deep pigments to give a deep color pay - off, maintaining ultimate moisture and comfort. Packaging:  The lipstick comes in a rose gold mirror body packaging...

Best of Catrice (August 2020)

Image
This is already a post that's not up to date because I took pictures a few days before I learned of the new update, which means products are again being discontinued and will be replaced with new shiny things. From this post, it's the primer and the highlighter palette that are sadly getting the axe, which is a shame because they are great products. Of course I haven't tried all Catrice has to offer in fact, not that much from the current line-up, but it's very hard to keep up with their new launches and I picked these items that I think are most worth it at the moment.  CATRICE HD Liquid Coverage Foundation I believe this a is a bestseller, at least it has to be considering it's the first thing that pops up among the pictures when you google Catrice. I know a lot of people love this, but for me it was a complicated relationship from the start, though as soon as I figured out my skincare I started to appreciate it a lot more and saw why it's so beloved. It...

CATRICE Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer 200 Anti-Red I have the regular colour of this formula , 005, which is a bit too dark for me and it's also not my favourite concealer, at least not as nice as Essence Camouflage Healthy Glow Concealer, but this was one of rare cheap colour correctors in my local drugstore. Formula of this is thick and it's much more pigmented that I thought it's going to be. It's almost fully opaque, so I need to use the smallest amount. I bought it for my redness under the eyes and the sides of my nose. Under the eyes, even though I have redness, not purple/blue-ish hues, this doesn't work well for me. It leaves with this this unhealthy green hue when I put over a concealer. On the sides of the nose where my redness is strongest, it doesn't counteract well enough. Unless I apply thick coats of both this and the concealer, I can see redness shine though. I haven't had a spot yet, to see if it's successful at covering thos...
