It covers well and has a natural finish on the skin, so it's one of those types of formulas such as Bourjois Radiance Reveal that can wear instead of foundation if I wish, as it just melts into the skin and doesn't look obvious around the edges like matte high-coverage formulas. It lasts surprisingly well too, since when I'm taking my makeup off at night, it's still under the eyes, though it's by then gone from my nose which is a bit oilier. It has a bit of niacinamide, vitamin C (Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate), aloe, green extract and some caffeine, even though they are more on the end of the list, they are still there, which is more than at most concealers. I'm also a fan of the applicator, which is shaped to fit perfectly under the eyes.   In the last products update (autumn 2020) Essence released a foundation that replaced the previous #insta perfect liquid makeup . It promises a medium coverage and a texture that "pleasantly melts into the skin", and as the name suggests, the finish should be pretty natural. They are offering 36 shades, which is the largest range so far by Essence, though today several drugstore companies offer at least as many shades, so it's not that impressive any more, it's almost expected for new launches (though that's more true for US brands than European, but I'm glad they are following suit). However, I'm less happy about the fact that they only have 10 shades on their shelves, here in Slovenia they start with shade 030. ESSENCE Pretty Natural Hydrating Foundation 030 Neutral Ivory This wasn't even on my radar until someone told me it's the best foundation they've tried. I have the previous #insta foundation that’s more like a tinted moisturiser, while Pretty Natural is almost an exact opposite. What struck me first is how thick the formula is and it doesn't have much slip, so it's one of those harder-to-blend formulas. I prefer to use a big oval brush for this one, while with fingers it's hard to spread to a large area compared to most foundations (it can be done, though). This layers terribly and with time where I layered looks very cakey. Coverage is much improved from its predecessor and it's now a medium-high coverage formula and the finish is satin, so neither matte nor too greasy/moisturising. I think my skin is too dry for this one because while it doesn’t look flaky, my skin crinkles with it like I’m very old when I smile or do other expression. It's not a ligh...
