January Favourites

BLISTEX Conditioning Lip Serum So far this is my favourite lip balm, or better said lip treatment, out of the ones available in drugstores or supermarkets here (not that I tried than many). I don't love it as much as Palmer's Swivel Stick or Laneige Sleeping Mask , but it's close. It's very light, like a lotion, so it doesn't give immediate relief to dry lips like Palmer's does, but it fixes the lips overnight so well that I consider it pretty much as good as Laneige. Packaging is a bit different than usual with a pump and this feels more like a face serum, so you'd never expect it to be an intense treatment, but it works. By the way I found this through reviews on Amazon and it's very high rated.  REVLON Powder Blush  004 Rosy Rendezvous Revlon makes some great neutral, easy-to-wear shades and this is their blush version of it. It's a muted pink with some peachy-brown tones that reminds me of my old Catrice's discontinued favourites I haven...

Oriflame The One Tremendous Fierce Mascara

Image
I am a big fan of the original Tremendous formula because it's one of rare regular formula mascaras that can hold a curl at least a bit. This one is not that much different in terms of how it makes the lashes look, but it is a bit more wet, so it's not that effective when it comes to my main concern. The brush is bigger and bushier than at the original. Fierce has an subtle hourglass shape, but it actually doesn't create any more or less volume than the original. It's another one that can catch even small lashes, separates them well and fans them out, but I'm having problems with this one when it comes to applying the mascara on the outer edges. The original has a tapered tip which is more successful at that job. Still it creates the result I like, so the look of many lashes that look like your natural lashes have a lot of volume. It doesn't create as much volume as L'Oreal's Paradise mascara , but it's decent enough. Unlike the first one this one d...

ROHTO MENTHOLATUM HADA LABO Super Hyaluronic Acid Cleansing Oil  I got the refill, you can see the bottle and read the original review here . This is so far my favourite cleansing oil. It's thick, it emulsifies nicely, I don't use up a lot at once and it doesn't make my vision foggy nor irritate my eyes.   eBay, 12$ BIOBAZA Bee Balm Ginger & Honey My lips are drier than usual and since I only had Palmer's Swivel stick and Laneige Sleeping mask (both are not sold here, which sucks when they run out), I explored our drugstores for some good enough options (aside from Sun Dance's SPF 50 version , I haven't bought a lip balm here in a very long time). I got this because of ingredients, as it has shea butter high enough on the list and it overall looked good, but it just reminded why I haven't bought a lip balm here in ages. It' precisely the type of formula I don't like, meaning that typical hard, waxy formula that doesn't get soft even after I...

MAYBELLINE Fit ME Matte + Poreless Foundation 100 Warm Ivory My favourite foundation, this is the lightest of the two shades I have (bought in Austria a while ago. Now there are many more shades and confusing to me), while I also use 110, the lightest bought here (passable, but darker). I raved so much about this one here, it's a foundation that makes my skin look so good, kind of perfected, though the coverage is only light-medium, but it's the texture of this one that makes the skin look particularly good. My skin is normal-dry and I don't find this is matte formula for oil/oily combination skin, as it neither mattifies a lot nor does it hold back oil, and that's what makes it a great fit for me because it's not too dry.  Repurchase: Yes , I already have backups.  PALMER'S Cocoa Butter Formula, Perfecting Facial Oil   I liked this a lot, especially for facial massages (I was alternating between this and Nuxe). Ingredients are great, it has a combination of oil...
